Job Description
Overview:
This position will Develop layout design and concept, selects and secures appropriate illustrative materials to be used; maintains and updates Web sites; ensures consistency, accuracy and compliance with required standards; proofreads copy; maintains internal posting of policies, forms, and related data as provided.
Responsibilities:
Builds the software architecture that supports collaborative and web hosting services on classified and unclassified networks.
Manages the production and development phases, classified and unclassified network instances of the MCTOG web hosting environment.
Works with others to develop and implement proprietary content & data management systems built with Microsoft technologies into new and existing websites.
Designs and develops websites supporting the mission of MCTOG as outlined by the Information Management Officer, the Information Working Group, and Communication Division Head.
Implements, manages and supports a Windows SharePoint Portal Services based web environment in both a classified and unclassified garrison and exercise environment.
Provide over the shoulder training to the MCTOG Staff and Students on the use and implementation of SharePoint solutions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems desired.
Certifications required (from DODINST 8570): Comp TIA Network +, Comp TIA Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional – SharePoint.
2 years experience in the design, implementation and management of Microsoft SharePoint Server architecture environment.
Previous U.S. Marine Corps experience is a plus.
Minimum of three (2) years experience in information management billet.
Knowledgeable in Information Assurance (IA) fundamentals.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Web Site hosting product line.
Desired knowledge in the following servers and applications, including, but are not limited, to the following: COTS Servers:
MS 2003/2008 Enterprise server
Windows SharePoint Site SharePoint 2007/2010
Exchange 2007
SQL Server 2005 or newer
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
