Overview:


CBAIA is in search of a Systems Engineer. This position requires extensive experience in aerospace operations and systems, engineering and life-cycle management, IT solutions and services, software and systems engineering, and missions solutions.

Responsibilities:
Experience with implementing a comprehensive program of engineering and technical support to meet near-term program objectives, as well as to support currently fielded programs undergoing engineering improvements and next generation technology upgrade.

Assess missile guidance, fuzing, warhead, and targeting technologies prosecuted through Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), modifications stemming from qualification results, and related proof-of-concept excursions for developmental and fielded capabilities.
Conduct system safety analyses, test planning and production qualification, failure modes analyses, and validation of modifications.
Conduct analyses and assessments on weapons platforms and vehicle interfaces.
Conduct engineering evaluations of obsolescence of technology, technology insertion, capabilities enhancements, configuration control, coordination with OPFOR and OEM technical staff, and SME participation in Navy and Joint working groups and oversight boards.
Conduct engineering analyses (e.g., RAM, design to cost objectives, performance assessments)
Conduct comprehensive system safety and WSESRB program, and additional human factors analysis (HFA).
Develop and prepare for Technical Reviews, Milestone Decisions and Program Reviews/Decisions, generating formal acquisition documentation (e.g., SEP, SAMP, TEMP, POPS Reviews, etc.) IAW DoD 5000 series.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Under minimal direction, works from specifications to develop or modify complex software programs to enhance an operating system. May give some direction and guidance to less experienced software systems engineers.
Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Develops logic, codes, tests and debugs software packages. Modifies, tests, and debugs retail utilities.
Packages and engineers releases to integrate with the company's operating systems. Develops and modifies complex software, such as routines supporting multiprogramming, telecommunications and file management.
Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related work experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
