Job Description
Overview:
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the training audience can experience a realistic exercise that incorporates the current maneuver support systems they can expect to utilize in future operations and that MCTOG will be able to field the most up-to-date networks with all the current and emerging programs of record.
Responsibilities:
Perform weekly Retina Scans of target systems and devices on the MCTOG networks.
Monitor mitigation efforts of other teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed.
Research and track Accreditation Packages for all systems used by MCTOG.
Assist in preparation and modifications of Certification and Accreditation packages for both garrison and exercise support.
Assist in monitoring and improving the MCTOG Information Security Posture.
Process and perform quality control on Systems Authorization Access Request forms.
Regularly perform audits of network and server policies and procedures as directed by the Information Assurance Manager.
Assist in the development and modification of the MCTOG Information Systems Security Plan and other relevant command policy and procedures.
Serve as an IA representative on the Incident Response Team as required.
Assist in conducting risk assessments for the command with respect to information security.
Monitor and ensure commands compliance with published IA policy and guidance at a minimum, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Bulletins (IAVB), Operational Directives, CyberCommand Task Orders.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Electrical Engineering desired.
Certifications required (from DODINST 8570): Comp TIA Network +, Comp TIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, CISCO Certified Network Administrator (CCNA).
Previous military service is desired, preference is former U.S. Marine.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Information Assurance.
Practical experience in the use of Retina scanning software.
Knowledgeable of tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems used by the MCTOG Command and Control (C2) and Simulation Architecture(s).
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
