Description
SW Engineer/Government Coder (C/C+)
Seeking a Software Programmer to support electronic warfare, radar, telemetry/instrumentation, and communication systems at a military installation.
Candidate will perform a variety of software engineering assignments including, requirements/systems analysis, software specification development, coding, test, debug, and validation of government tracking and quality assurance applications.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Four years relevant experience with the following skills:
- Independently performs a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks.
- Knowledge of the following program languages: Visual Basic, Java, .Net, C/C++, Java Script within a Windows and UNIX platform.
- Have a working knowledge of these protocols and standards: POSIX, TCP/IP, packet communications, synchronous/ asynchronous communications
- Participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software.
- Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
- Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems such as RF interface applications.
- Coordinates and works closely with other engineering, logistics, geological (GPS), and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
- Verifies and complies with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
- Prepares and submits technical papers and performs engineering studies.
- Develops, maintains, and produces technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
- Conducts site visits and experimental investigations, analyzes engineering problems, proposes solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations.

Desired Skills: US Military Blue Force Tracker/MFOQA (Military Flight Operations Quality Assurance).
