Description
Engineer 4-5 (10+ direct years of experience) Software Engineer/Developer to support the Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS) software development, integration and T&E at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Work and software development specificity relates and supports the warfighters ability to: Enabling Commanders to Manage the Complexities of the Third Dimensional Fight
Requirements
Scalable 2-D & 3-D Common Operational, Picture (COP), Unmanned Aerial System Situation, Awareness (UAS SA), Theater Battle Management Core System, (TBMCS) 1.1.3 Joint interface, Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) interface, Commercial Joint Mapping Tool Kit, Battle Management Software Suite (BMSS), and Commander's Digital Assistant (CDA).

Additional SW packages knowledge:
Information System (GIS) layer allows any geo-referenced graphics file to be used as a map layer,    including:
oWeather Radar Imagery, Digital Automated Flight Information File (DAFIF), etc.,
oGlobal Area Reference System (GARS) visualization, and ability to rapidly turn any GARS grid/keypad into an Airspace Control Measure or Joint Fires Area,
oMissile Flight Path interface from Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS),
oBlue Force Tracker-Aviation (BFT-A, FBCB2) and Link-16/TADIL-J interfaces, Customizable Airspace Control Means. (ACM) management through improved data controller, DDS, USMTF, and VMF data exchange, Advanced Web Client application for disadvantaged users provides Airspace Control Order visualization in four dimensions, point-and-click creation of Airspace Control Means Requests, and provisions for additional functionality adds-ons in the near term, such as collaboration, deconfliction, air tracks, and boundary alerts.

Candidate will be responsible for the software development of TAIS services, analysis, test planning, applications assessments, communications services analysis and support the development and delivery of TAIS related software products. This position requires a mid-level software development engineer with experience in software design and development, test and evaluation. Primary responsibilities include the assessment of: designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, and testing code used to integrate the TAIS software events and program testing. This is a technical software development and test orientated position.
